Interesting fact: Vietnam's coastline is 2025 miles (3260 kilometers) long, actually even longer than Thailand. Along this long and lazy coast, divers have the opportunity to explore unaffected waters throughout the year. The following is a list of excellent diving locations in this country.
Yazhuang
Due to its location on the tourist route of Vietnamese backpackers, Nha Trang has become the country's scuba diving capital for many years. There are over 20 diving operators in the city, offering courses and packages at attractive prices for experienced and others. In fact, some of the cheaper PADI courses in the world are here, so if you want to obtain a public water certificate, you know where to go. The average water temperature in Yazhuang is 82 ° F (28 ° C), with clear seawater and friendly water flow. Marine life may not be very good in this area, but most of the diving here is to improve skills and accumulate experience.

There are three diving locations in Yazhuang:
Hongmen Ocean Park is suitable for divers of all levels and is filled with macro and coral reef organisms. Here, you will find Mali Beach, which has a shallow sandy bottom that is very suitable for training diving, and of course, as its name suggests, it is also very suitable for discovering sea eels. There are incredible corals here, and you will encounter scorpions, clownfish, and black frog fish, to name just a few. Madonna Rock is another place with several caves of different depths, providing shelter for many fish that breed here.

Whale Island provides a more diverse range of marine life. In addition to the ones mentioned above, seahorses and stone fish are also hidden among the numerous peaks around the island. This area is home to hawk rays, manta rays, and stingrays, which can be encountered in deeper areas of these diving sites, and occasionally whale sharks.
Yazhuang Bay provides a similar experience, where divers can find many places to explore between these three places.

Hui'an and Danang
Da Nang is a major port in Vietnam, located along the coast of the South China Sea, bordering Hui'an, 18 miles (29 kilometers) southeast. Compared to other locations, these two cities receive fewer diving enthusiasts, so the diving potential here has largely not been explored. The popular diving location in Da Nang is 7 miles (12 kilometers) north of the Son Tra Peninsula, and the diving time here is from February to September. Due to the rough seas and low visibility, it is possible to avoid other months.

You can also dive along the Hui'an Coast, where you will find hundreds of different species of coral and tropical fish thriving in warm tropical waters. Kulaozhan Ocean Park is only 13 miles (21 kilometers) away from Hui'an Ancient Town and consists of eight islands in the South China Sea, with the popular one being Zhandao. The area is filled with marine life and the site is quite shallow, with swimming channels and caves, making it very suitable for beginners.
Kangdao Islands
The Kang Island Islands are located in southern Vietnam and consist of 16 islands, many of which are part of the Kang Island National Park and enjoy protected status. There are approximately 20 different difficulty diving points in the area, and the natural beauty of the area is characterized by coral reefs and colorful coral reefs. You will also discover a diving sunken ship in Vietnam, which is very photogenic and decorated with corals and sponges, making it a key place to admire deep-sea animals such as turtles, sharks, and rays.

Fuguo Island
Equally important is the little-known Phu Quoc Island, which is close to Cambodia and actually has excellent marine life from Vietnam. The great diving spots here are Dry island and Nudibranch island, where you can see various marine animals, including naked gills, cuttlefish, octopus, scorpions, crustaceans, pufferfish, sea anemones, damselfish, and sea eels. The water here is clear and calm, free from the influence of powerful ocean currents that affect other parts of the island, creating conditions for first diving.

The An Island at the southern end of Phu Quoc is composed of 15 small islands, providing a more challenging environment for divers. You are unlikely to see large sharks and manta rays, however, you are likely to see some bamboo sharks or blue spotted rays because powerful ocean currents will bring them in.
Most of the depths of Phu Quoc remain undiscovered, and new sites are discovered every season. If you are looking for some once in a lifetime adventure - 'going to places no one has ever been before', please go here.
