Currently, the outdoor freshwater resources of our entire planet are subject to varying degrees of pollution

Perhaps we think installing a water purifier in our own homes is redundant or unnecessary

But in 2023, it seems that we have gradually forgotten what happened in the previous three years

At present, water pollution mainly includes the following types:

Freshwater pollutants mainly include:

(1) Industrial wastewater discharged without treatment (such as papermaking and smelting);

(2) Untreated domestic sewage discharged;

(3) Farmland sewage that heavily uses fertilizers, pesticides, and herbicides;

(4) Industrial waste and household waste piled up by the river;

(5) Deforestation and soil erosion;

(6) Due to excessive mining, mining wastewater is generated.

So far in human society, outdoor water resources, even in high mountains and forests, are polluted to varying degrees in places far from human life

In an outdoor survival program in the United States, almost all challengers who participate in the challenge of extreme survival in the wilderness have a survival problem of whether the water resources are clean or not. Some challengers almost fall ill due to drinking water and fail the challenge directly

Due to global warming, even in places or regions far away from human habitation, such as mountains or forests, the bacterial growth and pH acidification caused by warming have gradually become normal. In the future, if people want to drink clean outdoor water resources according to their physical constitution, there will be fewer and fewer areas where they can drink directly. Therefore, equipping basic filtration equipment and improving water related knowledge are the basic knowledge that humans need in the future.

And water resources are listed as one of the 17 long-term goals of the United Nations, which means that the Earth's resources we rely on for survival require us to have a basic understanding of their existence together.
